it was sunny and very hot today。 i got up early and helped my parents cook breakfast。 then i washed the dishes and cleaned the room。 after a short rest i did my homework in the morning。 in the afternoon i went swimming in the nearest swimming pool with my friends。 it was really cool to swim in such a hot day。 i surfed the inter and read a storybook in the evening。 i really had a busy and interesting day。

the star in the sky were twinkling。some were crowded，and others were separate。then i found the stars were not the same color。there were many colors，white，gray，light blue，orange，and so on。it was really beautiful。at that time，the sky was like blue damask decorated by millions of bright diamonds。
星星在空中闪烁。有些挤在一起，另外一些零零落落。接着，我发现了一些不同颜*的星星。它们的颜*各异，()白*的，灰*的，天蓝*的，橙*等等。真是太美了。那时的天空就像是由无数闪亮的钻石装饰而成的蓝*锦缎。
looking up the sky，i saw the moon。it was like a naughty child。sometimes it hid in the clouds and sometimes it got out of the clouds， it seemsed to play"hide and seek"with me。the stars around the moon，however，were as girls，hiding themselves in the clouds。
望着天空，我看见月亮。它就像个淘气的孩子。它时而藏在云朵后面时而又露面，仿佛正在和我玩躲迷藏。星星围绕着月亮，怎么说呢，她们都像女孩子，把自己藏在云朵后。

真高兴夏天来临了!
i like summer best because i can have a very happy time then。 every summer i stay at my uncle's house in the country for some time and enjoy the life there。 i can also catch worms that are not found in cities。 in addition， i can see many kinds of birds。 i think the country is certainly a better place than the city for vacation。
我最喜欢夏天因为我能有一段非常开心的时光。每个夏天我有时住在乡间叔叔家里非常开心。我还能抓到城市里见不到的虫子。另外，我还能看到许多种类的小鸟。我想在乡下度假绝对是个更好的去处。

i have many friends。 one of them is my classmate ma hua。he is a league member and one of the best students in my class。he is fond of english and good at it。 he often practises reading aloud。 so he has a good pronunciation。 he is always ready to help others。 with his help i have made great progress。 i have made up my mind to catch up with him and to join the league in the near future。

my name is beth。 i'm 14 years old， and i study in no。 1 middle school of hui'an。 my school is very big and beautiful。 i'm very happy in the school。
i usually get up at 6:15 in the morning。 then i do morning exercises in the playground。 at 6:40， i have my breakfast。 you can see many students and teachers in the dinning room。 after breakfast， i often read english with my classmates。
we have six classes every day。 the first class begins at 7:50 am。 i like all the classes， because my teachers can make the classes lively and interesting。 my favorite subject is english， so i join english corner every week。 i can speak english with many other students there。 it's very interesting and exciting。 i think it's helpful for me to learn english well。 after class， i always play games with my friends。 we play basketball， soccer ball， volleyball， ping-pong and so on。 they are very relaxing。

as we all know， water is essential in our daily life。 we drink water every day， we use water to wash things and cook food， we also use water to make machines。 people can't live without water。
我们都知道水对于日常生活的重要*。我们每天喝水，用水洗东西和烹制食物，我们还用水来制造机器。离开水，人类就无法存活。
though about 75% of the earth is covered with water， only 3% of it is fresh water。 so we must save water by having a shower instead of a bath。 we can save water by fixing dripping taps immediately and we can also save water by not washing under a running tap。
虽然地球75%都被水覆盖，但其中只有3%是淡水。所以我们应该用淋浴代替泡澡来节约水，同时及时修好滴水的水龙头，()并且不要开着水龙头洗东西。

with the help of the inter，shopping is not a difficult job。 just click your mouse to choose the article you like，and the shopping is finished。 you needn't step out of the room。
it seems easy and quick。 but there's always a trap(陷阱)online。 if you are careless，it will bring you some trouble。 you may find the color of the article is different from what you want，or the size is either too small or too big。 if you want to be different，you'd better not buy clothes online。 once you put on the clothes you bought online and go out，you will find many people wear the same clothes in the street。
so you must be careful，because everything has two sides。

last summer，big floods occurred in both the south and north of china。they were the most serious ones in this century。they caused great loses。fields were ruined，houses were washed away and many people became homeless。
there are three reasons for the floods。first，it had kept raining for months。secondly，many forests had been cut down and the soil was washed away。finally，some lakes had been turned into fields，which seriously blocked the waterways。
now，some measures have been taken to prevent floods from happening again。the trees along the rivers have been protected;old dams have been rebuilt and some fields have been turned back into lakes again。
